Andrea grew up a horse nut in Logan, WV, always planning to be an equine veterinarian. In fact, in 5th grade, she had to predict where she would be in the year 2000, and her answer was "Living in Lexington KY, being a veterinarian and breeding quarter horses.” She got two out of the three! She graduated from the University of Georgia Veterinary School in 2001. She currently lives in Lexington after living and, practicing in Florence, KY from 2003-2011. While she never had the opportunity to actually breed quarter horses, there have been some Tennessee Walking Horse babies born at home. The big career change happened in 1999 when in her third year of veterinary school, she got her very first dog; a sweet, stubborn, and dedicated Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Tully. Losing him to cancer at the age of 5 was another lesson that she would pass on to other pet owners on how to deal with heartbreak and loss. Her other teachers have been Fins, also a chessie, Mojo, a Great Dane, and the kitties; Stump, Biscuit, and Stiffler. She is currently being loved on, and trained by Clark, a Golden Retriever that excels as a therapy dog, and Beasley, a Great Dane that excels at napping. When not taking care of pets, she loves to run long distances, including half marathons, full marathons, and many others.

Katie was born and raised in Ft. Thomas, KY, and for as long as she can remember, pets have always been an important part of her life. She grew up with Labrador Retrievers; Bryer, Lexie, Jazz and, Dakota. But that’s not all, she also had several cats; Black Cat, Tiger Cat (not very original in those early days), Apache, Inca, and Mogli. Being surrounded by so many pets, is no wonder she pursued a career in the veterinary field. Her passion for veterinary medicine strengthened, and her career path became more apparent as she found herself lying on the floor with her Black Labrador, Lexie, who was in renal failure. She was hand-feeding him, and giving him fluids under the skin around the clock; Lexie was her heart dog. Katie was determined to help others connect with their pets, and provide the best care possible for them, all the way to the very end. Katie graduated veterinary school from the University of Glasgow in 2008. She spent five years studying abroad, and working in faraway places such as Thailand, and Australia. During her many travels, she was lucky enough to meet Steve Irwin (ask her about it sometime)! These days, Katie resides in Wilder, KY with her husband Jeff, and their two kids; Levi and Aubrey. They also have three rescue dogs; Frank-the-Tank, an 80lb pit bull, Betty White, an Australian shepherd mix, and Cookie, a 9lb fox terrier mix with the attitude of a grizzly bear, and, quite possibly, two to three foster kittens. Katie is also an avid runner, with a few marathons under her belt, but also enjoys a good nap with her kids when she can sneak one in.

Clark was born to be the Chief Happiness Officer. His training for the role was incredibly rigorous—always exhibiting a sunny disposition, instructing humans to provide him belly rubs, and earning his AKC Canine Good Citizen Title. Not only was his CHO training arduous, Clark also has another job—as a therapy dog. He is certified with the Central KY Chapter of Love on a Leash and loves to visit nursing homes, hospitals, and one of his favorites—letting the kids at the public library read to him. Aside from his many talents and skills, Clark is also known for enjoying some downtime as well. His favorite past times consist of swimming at the beach and riding the waves, snuggling on warm and fluffy covers, and fetching tennis balls until he plops down for a well-deserved nap. He also enjoys wearing many costumes; one of his favorites is dressing up as Batman.
